Hello All!!

I'm just letting you know that David and I now have a blog together!! Woohoo! That is where we will be posting trip blogs and I assume a lot of other things from here on out! I may still use this one a little... I haven't decided yet...

Our trip is going great! We're in Salt Lake City right now... this is our first time on a computer since we left! Wow!

Updates and Trip Info!!

Hello All!
It is now June and I haven't posted in about 6 years. Something like that. The updates are as follows:

• Natalie and Douglas are getting married September 23rd, 2007 !!! :)
• I am 19
• David and I have been married for almost 6 months now and are loving it!!
• David has made his decision about his career!!!
• Summer is moving back to Georgia and has a job!
• I am working at the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Washington until July 1 when David and I leave for our trip!

Our trip itinerary is very exciting!!! I typed it in an email to a friend, so I'm just going to copy and paste it into here...

Our trip this summer looks like this: We leave July1 early in the morning and head to Selma, AL where my grandmother lives. We will eat lunch with her and the family and then head to Fort Worth, TX to see our other friends/family. We will spend two nights there and then drive out on the 3rd headed toward New Mexico. We will spend the night at a campground very close to where David worked last summer and see his camp. On the 4th we will drive to Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado and spend 3 days there in the backcountry. On the 7th we drive out, headed for Mesa Verde in Colorado. We will spend the night there and take the tour and then head to Arches National Park in Utah. On the 9th we leave Arches headed for Bryce Canyon. We will camp in Bryce Canyon and do long day hikes, leaving on the 11th. On the 11th we head to Zion National Park (the highlight of our trip). We will spend SEVERAL days there hiking in the backcountry and seeing the sights! We leave Zion on the 15th and go to Salt Lake City. We will stay in a hotel in Salt Lake City and see some of the CITY sights for a few days (so I can sleep on a mattress instead of in a sleeping bag :)) We leave there on the 17th and head toward Jackson Hole/the Grand Tetons. We stay there over night and then drive into Yellowstone the next day. We will be in Yellowstone for several days (the other highlight of our trip). Our last night in Yellowstone we get to stay in a cute little cabin (similar to the ones at camp, I assume, only slightly larger). On the 22nd we leave Yellowstone and drive to Bozeman to eat at McKenzie River Pizza Co., go to the hot springs, and see the town! That evening we head toward McLeod, MT where I worked last summer!!! We will stay at my camp for two nights, leaving on the 24th. McLeod is our last REALLY planned stop, so the rest of the trip will be easy going and stopping when and where we want to along the route home. When we leave McLeod on the 24th we will stop in Big Timber for a huckleberry shake :) and then head out for Mt Rushmore and Rapid City in South Dakota. We also want to hit the Badlands in SD, the St. Louis arch, IHOP (International House of Prayer) in Kansas City, MO, and see some of David's friends in Kentucky on our way back to GA. We will not actually go straight back to GA, because some of David's family will be in North Carolina for a family reunion. We'll go there for a few days and then get home in time to start school! All in all our trip should take about a month!! We're so excited.

So there you go! And if you actually read that whole post I'm SHOCKED!!

I'm going to try to post pictures and stories from this summer whenever we get to internet, which may not be too often. I'm not promising anything, but I'll try!!

So I got all my hair chopped off! I haven't decided if I like it or not, yet, but I figure it'll grow back either way. I, surprisingly, didn't have enough to give to locks-of-love, but got about 8 inches chopped off! Natalie was getting her hair cut (and it looks AMAZING!!), and between my half-wanting to cut mine, and two Sutton girls' encouragement, I, in turn, got mine cut as well! I think I like it curly (as it is in the pictures), but I straightened it today and look remarkably like a soccer mom!! I'll attach pictures so y'all can decide for yourselves, but I think Allison is the only one who reads blogs anymore! (Hey Allison! I love you!) (Not the best face picture of me, I know, but you get the idea of the hair!)

tests, tests, tests!!

Hello all!!
I'm so sorry for my COMPLETE lack of posting!! I have a question for those of you who are done with school: does it EVER slow down?? David and I realized today that spring break is only a couple of weeks away. That means we're already WELL into this semester!! It feels like it just began. I actually have a huge geography test today over east and west europe, the middle east, and russia. If you happen to read this post PLEASE pray for me!! I'm worried about it. I also have a huge science test tomorrow, so once again, prayers would be appreciated!!
Natalie and I are headed out to Texas tomorrow after my test (Lord, PLEASE don't let Summer read this until Thursday-ish!! We're trying to surprise her!!) I'm really excited about it. 4.5 days of no school, no stress (HOPEFULLY) and seeing family!! I miss them terribly.

I've gotta go run and take this test, so I love y'all and hope you have wonderful days!!!
